Considerations of Delays in Diagnosis of Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism
This report documents and quantifies delays in the diagnosis of DVT and PE. Delays in the diagnosis of DVT and PE were common and substantial. Most of the delay in the diagnosis of DVT represented the delay from symptom onset to the date of medical evaluation.
